BATUSHKA
OH MY GOD...... bozhe moi..... alright i have lots of feelings here. while it was "faketushka/bartushka" stolen version of the band, i got the tickets before i was aware of this, and i thought i would try to look past this whole controversy because the music is one of my all time favorite and i felt like i couldn't miss out on this experience. although i still feel really bad supporting a thief...alright lets get to the actual review part. i was in the 2nd row standing, on the left side next to the guitarist/bassist i kinda forgot. but oh my god... my religious trauma came to the forefront and just exploded.. i felt like my ancestors are watching me in dissapointment, that all of the heavens are angry at me, even though i am agnostic i couldn't help but feel this extreme intense energy. first 2/3 songs i was trying to dance but also watch the ceremony, the symbolism (skulls, upside down holy images of mary, face scribbled out jesus?? i think) the candles, incense smell just so...... aaaaaagh!!! smelled just like eastern orthodox christian churches and that just made it that much better...or worse...i cant tell. but after the 3ish songs one of them just made me explode in tears i was crying all throughout the show. i was watching the bassist/guitarist do their thing so intently sometimes, i felt a connection to the music like they are playing from their deepest heart and soul. bart threw the first candle at me and i was crying even more when that happened because i just could not make sense of my emotions i was like, this is amazing but also this is a sin, but do i even care, ya know...i was shaking and crying more than i cried in months!! i also went to this concert alone and befriended 3 really sweet guys there, one shy tall guy, one guy with a skinny puppy and ministry drip on, and one drunk but also sweet guy (kinda couldnt stand the alcohol breath but he was still sweet and his dancing was silly). the shy tall guy made sure i got the first candle i just looked at him shaking crying and nodded yes like omg. after the show i was still shaking and processing what just happened... definitely the best shows i been to if you disregard the thief situation...but i just got the ticket i didnt support them through merch or anything else i made my own patch lol xd but bruh... life changing definitely.
SWALLOW THE SUN
they were good, but not really my vibe; they played 1 or 2 songs that i liked but the rest i couldn't really get into it, maybe cuz i was used to stormruler before them going so hard they were more calm and singing and it was kind of a slow down calm down (even though they are still metal not really slowed down lol) i think they are like, dungeons and dragons metal, which is not really what i go for. correct me if im wrong
STORMRULER
oh my god, amazing! one of my first actual ~underground~ metal shows and they blew. my. mind.!!!!!! i forgot my earplugs but i couldn't go to get them because they are THAT GOOD!!!! i felt like i was inside of the music the sound just captivated me so!!!!aaa!! amazing stage presence, sound, the metal hair swinging thing headbanging sweat flying i felt blessed!!!!1 the vocalist is really nice too :D i got a patch and put it on my jacket >.>

literally played through a hurricane felt super badass. i was kind of a noob and was dancing a bit too hard cuz i thought moshing is the norm everywhre and made this lady mad that i bumped into her but whatevs; ya live ya learn. i had a great time :D amazing performance and unmatched stage presence! so amazing
SKINNY PUPPY
i was gonna go see them at their final tour but the event got canceled and i was devastated ;-; i still include them here because i feel like i got ROBBED of an amazing time and i am still sad. i hope this was clickbait and it was not really the final tour
GENE LOVES JEZEBEL
i couldn't really get into it, but i still danced and had a good time :) maybe it's just me not really liking blatant obvious love songs and some of the music is that, i dunno.
PEACH PIT
so much fun!!! i went with my friend who LOVES peach pit! i had a lot of fun dancing and the band members are really sweet :D aaalrighty aphroditeeee dododododododo;; it was the average indie experience except super crowded :3

tbh not what i hoped for i wanted to hear 'celestial bodies' really bad but it was a dj set; which is alright don't get me wrong but not really my vibe tbh. it was like the anime witchy spooky vibe which is cool but not really for me :p
